Rately ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian software service that helps tradies and small businesses collect Google reviews via automated SMS. Our website is rately.au and you can contact us at support@rately.au.
2. What Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Rately:
- Account information: Your name, business name, email address and password when you sign up
- Business information: Your Google review link and business name as entered in your settings
- Customer data: Names and mobile phone numbers of your customers that you enter when scheduling nudges
- Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your card details
- Usage data: Number of nudges sent, texts used, and account activity logs
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the Rately service
- Send SMS review requests to your customers on your behalf
- Process your subscription payments via Stripe
- Send you service-related emails (account confirmations, billing receipts)
- Improve and develop our service
4. Third Parties We Share Data With
- Twilio: Used to send SMS messages. Customer phone numbers are transmitted to Twilio for this purpose.
- Stripe: Used to process subscription payments. Billing information is handled directly by Stripe.
- Supabase: Our database provider where account and nudge data is stored securely.
- Resend: Used to send transactional emails from support@rately.au.
We do not sell your data to any third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Nudge history is retained for 12 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@rately.au.
6. Your Rights (Australian Privacy Act 1988)
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of marketing communications

7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database storage, and access controls. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
